Okay...

Well, here's the thing. A friend of a friend who I went to school with asked me out to Starbucks today at around 3 in the afternoon. I thought it was a casual meet-up - even though I have never met this friend of a friend before - but it turned out it was a date. Hang on, he called it our 'first date'. He turned up with a bunch of roses for me! And there I was, hair in a mess, fringe recently cut and looking very irregular. Argh! Fail.

He was really lovely though, not sure if I would see him again, but he was rather good-looking and from the way he talked, rather intelligent. Interesting guy, he seemed to know a lot about me even before I started talking to him properly (somewhat freaky). Apparently his parents are from Romania.

So anyway, I had a nice time and the roses made me feel so happy. I've never put cut flowers in a vase before, so this might look quite wrong - I'm not trying to abuse the flowers in any way.

I'm still quite not sure what kind of frame of mind I was in when he asked me out to coffee - why did I not think for a moment that it was a date. I don't know. Because it was just a friend of a friend? Because it was meeting someone in broad daylight? I don't know. But I have always known that I lack common sense.

And there I was, going to my final lecture of the day (5pm-6pm) with a bunch of roses in my hand. That was quite embarrassing too.
